Creating an Urban Homestead Workshop, Sunday, April 3

Workshop alert!

This Sunday, April 3, join us for a fun morning learning how to create an abundance of food, medicine and wildlife habitat using Permaculture design principles. We’ll cover design and layout, plant selection, soil health, water, bees, and much more.

Whether you have 1/10 of an acre or 10, this workshop will help get you going towards producing more of your own food and medicine or just creating a more people and wildlife friendly homestead.

10am-12pm. $15. Register online or call 888-737-6535.

Plus, Saturday, April 2, is the 3rd workshop in this year’s Bernalillo County Open Space Backyard Farming Workshop Series. Saturday’s topic? All About Irrigation. I’ll be teaching about Permaculture techniques for passive water harvesting, others will lead discussions on drip and flood irrigation. 10am-2pm. Gutierrez-Hubbell House on Isleta Blvd. in the South Valley. FREE. More info here. Hope to see you this weekend!
