I am so excited to organize this five day series on sustainable garden design for Bernalillo County Open Space’s Backyard Farming Program. This will be the last “urban farming” type workshop I will teach before I start medical school. Hope you can join me!
Starting this Saturday, March 14, and running through May at the historic Gutierrez-Hubbell House in the South Valley, I will bring a local expert to co-teach the Landscape for Life workshop series. This Saturday, I will give an introduction into planning your sustainable garden using permaculture design principles, and Shawn Hardeman will teach about getting to know and improve your soil.
Whether you’re starting from scratch or taking a fresh look at an established garden, this series will have someone for everyone.
If you pre-register, you will receive a free Landscape for Life workbook, and participants who attend all five sessions will be entered into a drawing to win a rain barrel and other valuable prizes at the final workshop.
